I. Love. Earthbound.

I. Hate. Flappybird.

I fucked up space with all of the gas our government was keeping from us. How much gas you say? 9999, of course.

THE ONLY THING I MISSED WAS THE CHAIN

I AM DISAPPOINT

OTHERWISE, CLEVER

Very charming game. 5 star, for simplicity is mere complexity. Lotica is just a mental basket who has no friends or a zombie girlfriend. :(

This game is amazing! I played it at my daughter's funeral.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Just.. Phenominal.

I cannot tell you how much this game was more than just a game. There is no word to describe it. This game is not short, because it's not a game. It's a very deep underlying interpretation of one whom is in his unconscious world. Simply brilliant!
I do agree to an extent the ending might've been a bit rushed though, but who cares. This is.. Just.. Wow.. Bravo. B R A V O I am going to come to this game and run around the fields again whenever I am tired from composing music. It's VERY surreal. When I first saw the art, I couldn't help but tear. This ''game'' is very special, and a human isn't exposed to such a ''game'' more than a few times in their life. This ''game'' doesn't even deserve a score. Scores are too degrading for such a suspenseful, surreal, deep embedded message that you have greatly achieved to protray. Just.. No words to be able to ever describe this feature. I really can't say anything else.. .-. Please, make a second one.. I loved how you made Pete's subconscious lie to him, and try to scare him from getting closer to his light. That was incredibly deep. O.O

Pixels are awesome.

It's amazing to see another game derived entirely in pixel form that is mixed with our today's graphics ; sounds ; dynamics. I really enjoy pixels, I have a keen soft spot for them. I was even a pixel artist back in 2008 for awhile til I discovered my talent for music. My thumbnail picture is one of my pixel art works, which is particularly abstract :P

WhosCoffin, I think I am on to something. I got a 900 combo (Because they didn't want to drop a damn shield. Oh, not only that. Soon as I get hit, the monster drops a shield -.-) Pretty much.. You pick ont he small guys as much as you can at level 1, then when you reach level two start building on your offense side. Meaning at level 4 you should be able to get rapid fire, and spread fire at level 3. Just stay on the bottom left ; right corners and shoot away at the monsters, dodging the the bigger ones, aswell as picking up as little pixels as you can. If you reach level 6, (Which is when the trouble makers start appearing) do your best, and soon as you get hit. Restart the game and try it all over again. It's all based on luck when you get to level 10+, because of those monsters that enjoy it when they explode in your face. Also, if you haven't realized already. If you get hit whilst in shield status, your combo WON'T dissappear. So don't give up. Keep going until they hit you when you aren't in a shield (Particularly those grunts will be the pests) Like I said. I got a 900 combo, and nearly got it, but a grunt hit me -.- It's definately possible at level 1-6, you just have to be efficient with your spacing, shooting, luck, and what upgrades you choose to use. (Offense is the best, since all you are trying to do is rake up kills on the puny monsters) Hope this helps you, and anyone else who is struggling that is reading this. ^^

Now, for the game? It's absolutely astounding. I enjoyed this to no end, and will continue playing it even when I acquire all the trophies. I will play this game to ease my mind after composing one of my compositions. I still need to try out K.O.L.M though. Lol. Please, make more pixel like games. This was really great. Are you looking forward to updating this game? I couldn't help but notice it said Version 1.1.5. I also have to say as a side note regarding the author of this game. Your game Tower of Greed was awesome too. ^^

Make more of this wonderful pixel worlds. They are to die for. 5/5 10/10.

EpicShadow responds:

Thanks for the awesome review, and to all others who have been leaving reviews, I read them all!

Really glad you liked the game, definitely keeps me happy about what I do. Pixel Purge 2 is actually in early development, so hopefully you won't have to play this after you get all of the trophies TOO long :)

. . .

1st - Ockeroid's music is just astounding. Secondly, the second song after the mina menu that comes on. Does anyone recognize that piano lead that starts? Doesn't it remind you of Courage the Cowardly Dog? One of the most artistic, beautiful cartoons to have ever hit public television back in 2000? Mhmm..

3rd - This game is just breath taking. It's that game that is so amazingly well allocated through emotional structuring, it isn't even known as a game, but a supreme sense of essence in our lives.. No words could ever describe this beauty. The-EXP. You are a talented individual. I look forward to your future ''games'', and will look forward to finishing this ''game'' when I am not busy with personal matters. B R A V O. I tip off my hat to you good sir. This is indescribable.. One of the best games on Newgrounds. These scores have no true effect on the sole perfection of this art you have created.. Just wow..
