Hi, Insanctuary. Yeah, it's me again. Have you ever considered becoming a writer? Or...are you a writer? You have very interesting thoughts, my friend (if you'll allow me to call you that). I think you're a very interesting man (even if you probably deny it), and maybe you should check out the Writing Forum sometime (if you haven't already), because I think you should get your ideas out there a little more (although you probably have a perfectly well-crafted reason why you don't use the Writing Forum already). Interesting how you used the "winking" emoticon at the end of your post. I'm not sure if it's meant to be ironic, or if this whole news post was ironic. If I knew you better, maybe I would know which. This made me realize that I really know nothing about you, Insanctuary, which is both scary and amazing. ;)

Hi, TheDoor6. Yeah, it's me again. Have you ever considered becoming a writer-owl? Or... are you a writer-owl? You have very interesting ways to inspire thoughts, my friend (if you'll allow me to call you that). Stumbling upon your page through ABrighertShadow, and was surprised with all the low ratings of your tracks when they did not deserve to be. Perhaps they are in the words that you have written to frustrate some that do this, but in the words I find to be intriguing to me.
If I may speak plainly to you as I find your words to be poetic, and would perhaps even say “Romantic” in a sense, when I read the description for “Beneath the Blind”—beautiful—I ponder on that last sentence, “everything found within the distance,” and I wonder what it may be that you’re thinking of that would take us back home. And then, what is home?

This place fascinates me.

Well, there are two forms of absence from what I have observed: Absence of home in light; Absence of home in darkness. Absence of home in light is something a lot of shows, books and movies have considered, but absence of home in darkness is something else entirely. Empaths generally find home confined in an area, since they tend to dwell; those that wander off to explore the world never enjoyed their home they grew up in. Sociopaths generally cannot find a home, so home is wherever they are at the time. Then there is the wise man, they generally find home in their thoughts, but also while away from society. Therefore by looking for what they all have in common, you can see that home comes from escaping rather than embracing. It comes from distance, not resonance. It is the hole of the heart, and the light of our darkness. Home is a place wherein we're lost, and left to reinvent ourselves and rediscover ourselves perpetually throughout our lives. Why is this?

When I think of “home,” the web image that comes to mind primarily is safety. Home to me, and to what you have referred to, is more of a construct rather than an actual place, but whether it is more ideological or hypothetical, I am not sure. I would almost say home could be a place where the mind finds peace, but the more I think of it, peace or being comfortable are not obligated to in a sense for one to be considered at home. The examples you have given, the people do seem to have something in common, and although home can come from escaping rather than embracing, I am not entirely sure that home in itself lies wherein being lost. It is in the escape where one finds their home, but when one escapes, does that necessarily mean misplaced? An escape is what becomes the profound question here, and perhaps even be the very thing that ties to your question “why” that is.
I remember being in an exhibit of works by Monika Baer, and the longer I immersed myself within the gallery, the more I was able to see the central theme between all of the artwork. Over the years by this artist, it was the void that bounded them together. The universal characteristic of the void within, and the approaches to how many desperately attempt to cover it so it may not become seen. The irony is in the majority of people that, because of their little patience, walk pass them in frustration for not seeing purpose. Tell me, wherein this exhibit is the hole deepest?
I agree that home comes from distance and that void within us, but who am I to say it is because he or she dwells in a place derived from these things that are lost. Are they lost? I will have to ponder on that one. The empaths, and those that wander off to explore the world do find their home from that process.
The wise man when increasing knowledge also increases sorrow.
I can recall back to a remark someone made, “Ignorance is bliss. In truth, pain is all you’ll find.” Because the saying is a bit cliché, many would be quick to believe it. I couldn’t help but think if truth in itself would really invoke such a negative connotation.
I found that pain comes from the realization that we are blind to many things, but truth in itself is quite a relief. I suppose it is in the interpretation.
Because our sense of safety can come from escaping, wouldn't it be more true to say it is where it leads us we can start to feel at home?

You make interesting posts, sincerely :3

Mhmm.
